Tour Description:

11:40 am - 12:30 pm – Guest should be ready at their respective hotel’s. Transfer by land to Kinabatangan River passing small towns, oil palm plantation and local villages. Most of the villagers are the Orang Sungai (derived from the Malay words, “the river people”). Their main source of living income is fishing and in time of low harvest, they build boat. Some of them working with the oil palm plantation companies.

03:30 pm – Arrive at Lodge, tea or coffee will be served.

04:00 pm AFTERNOON RIVER CRUISE (2-2.5 hours): Put on your life jacket and start river cruising along Kinabatangan River in search for wildlife. We will go on river cruise to one of the tributaries of the Kinabatangan River for wildlife viewing and this is the time when wild is at its most active behavior, search for the Proboscis Monkey, The most famous attraction is the “Biggest Nose of Borneo” The proboscis monkey, endemic only in Borneo and recognizable by the male’s long, distinctive pendulous nose and a peculiar mix of colours – grey legs, white belly and tail, and an orange coat. A trip down the Kinabatangan River almost certainly guarantees you several sightings of this large yet surprisingly graceful primate, as it flings itself forcefully from tree to tree, or watches you lazily from a comfortable lofty branch. Others animal such as the wild Orang Utan, Snakes, Birds, Long and Pig Tail Macaque, Silver Leaf Monkey and if you are lucky you might see the Wild Borneo Pygmy Elephants. This is the usually an awesome encounter and experience, on the fine, the day is complimented with a beautiful sunset.

Return around 06:30 pm

A Dinner will be served. After dinner, we will transfer you back to your hotel within Sandakan.
